Banner Christmas
Historic Downtown Monument is sponsoring the the third annual "Banner Christmas." Banner Christmas features original Christmas art banners, handpainted by renowned local artists. The banners are on display on lamposts in the historic downtown of Monument. Unveiling is the Friday after Thanksgiving and they remain on display throughout the holiday season. Small Town Christmas
Held the first Saturday in December from 10:00am to 2:00pm, this day full of holiday activities includes visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus along with crafts and activities for children, open houses and other special events as the merchants of Historic Downtown Monument celebrate a Small Town Christmas.

Monument Art Hop
The third Thursday of each month, May through September, the galleries, restaurants and boutiques of historic downtown Monument stay open until 8:00pm for a celebration featuring art openings and other special events. Concerts in the Park
Wednesdays in June and July, 7:00–9:00pm; bring your chairs and enjoy music, food and fun for the whole family! The Concerts in the Park Series is held in Limbach Park. Take Monument exit 161 and head west on Highway 105 which becomes Second Street. Continue straight on Second Street past Front Street and Limbach Park will be on your left before you reach the railroad tracks. Finally Summer Soulstice
The Historic Monument Merchants Association their first annual Summer Soul-stice Event on Saturday, June 20 this year! It was a day-long community celebration featuring special merchant events, wellness demonstrations, hayrides, kids art activities, live music, food and a paint-out done by local professional artists painting in the traditional plein air style.

A Chalk Walk for kids, teens, amateur and professional artists was a highlight of the first year’s celebration. Participants were encouraged to create everything from temporary chalk “masterpieces” to some colorful games of tic-tac-toe! Chalk was supplied, participation was free. This family-friendly event was designed to provide attendees with a rich cultural experience. Additionally, other special events and merchant offers made the day of the Summer Soul-stice a fun and extraordinary shopping experience.

All activities took place in the “downtown” Historic Monument. The “Soul-stice Suds Garden” served up Bristol Breweries finest. Some of the other events included face-painting, balloon art, many different crafts from potted plants to making a crystal sun-catcher. Of course, the wellness tent “Soul-stice Sanctuary” had free massages of different kinds, free glucose and blood testing, meditation, yoga and much more. The bands and musicians were spread throughout the town for attendees' enjoyment. The “Soul Train” (hayride) provided transportation from the different venues.

Tri-Lakes Cruisers Benefit Car Show
Over 200 cars line the streets for a spectacular event held the second Sunday of June. Over thirty-nine trophies are given away at this show that runs from 10:00am to 3:00pm in historic downtown Monument.

Monument Fourth of July Parade and Street Fair
Palmer Lake Fireworks Display

Enjoy the parade sponsored by Monument Hill Sertoma along with the Street Fair, which is put on by the Tri-Lakes Chamber of Commerce. Stick around and enjoy the fireworks over Palmer Lake.

HMMA Annual Chili Cook-Off and Tasting

Get out your secret chili recipe, chop some chilies and fire up the stove! Cook a pot of chili and enter the annual HMMA Chili Cook-off. Food vendors, music and fun for the entire family! Click here for more information.

Safe Trick or Treat
October 31 from 3:00 to 5:00pm
Bring the kids downtown for a night of safe trick-or-treating as Monument merchants provide treats, activities and show-off their creative costumes. The Monument Police Department patrols the streets to help insure the safety of our goblins.
